AAO works to create a country where the divisive system and constitution based on race and language are abolished and the democratic principle of one vote is respected for Amhara people throughout the entire country Ethiopia.
Mission of AAO
1- By reaching, explaining, and organizing the Amhara community members living in Oregon and Vancouver, WA, we will try to coordinate them to play their part in the efforts to stop the genocide of the Amhara people in Ethiopia.
2- Facilize the exchange of information by creating a strong alliance with the Amhara International Movement (AIM) and the Federation of Amhara in North America (FANA Inc) established to coordinate the Amhara organizations and groups that are organized in a scattered state all over the world and are fighting to stop the genocide and ethnic cleansing that is being carried out against the Amhara.
3- Amplify the activities of the joint movement to make the crimes of genocide and displacement committed and being committed against the Amhara stand out in the whole world.
4- Participate in the coordinated international movement to help our people who have been injured and displaced due to the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing crime.
5- Provide the necessary assistance for the Amhara people to reconstruct the economic, health and educational institutions destroyed during the war.
6- Contributing to modernizing agriculture, expanding the industrial and financial sectors, and improving the exchange of information technology as well as cultural and educational development.
Principles of AAO
1- Any person who claims to be an Amhara or has Amhara’s mindset and is willing to uphold the mission obligations of the association will be accepted as a member or associate member.
2- No discrimination on the basis of gender, age and religion.
